| Well, your first step is in knowing how to do one of those jobs. Don't expect to get hired and then get on-the-job training. Then building a career in the film industry, porn or mainstream, is really about word-of-mouth. People have to know you and what you can do. You may be able to get a start as a PA (Production Assistant) where the skillset isn't very specific, but that doesn't really "get" you the job you're looking for. So, the first thing to do is to figure out PRECISELY which job it is you want to build a career doing. The professional film industry if VERY specialized, so being able to "do it all" will not be an asset in most circumstances. Then, learn how to do that thing. It may take working NOT in porn first to learn. Volunteer or get an internship with a professional production company where you are able to learn the equipment and observe how people truly work in the real world. Once you feel comfortable enough, you'll have to move to where the work is. Porn is made everywhere, but most of the bigger companies are centered in the San Fernando Valley, just north of Los Angeles. You can visit the companies and try to get meetings, but the chances are that they already have people doing the 'job" that you want so don't expect an immediate handshake and contract. | Find some one you can work with, a male or female photographer, and start taking pictures of your self. Time to kick shy-ness right out the window too.. Depending on how you feel on how you are presented, you may try ALL venues of adult photo sites after you have a library built up of images.... The heterosexual world is NOT the only area to make a lot of $$ in, and in "It's a Dirty Job" someone has to do it and someone has to take home a pay check.. If you can find a lady who will go with you it will help 100 fold.. However, once in, wow... ! If your 'good' and have the package you say, gals and couples will make you a fav and soon you may all your weekends filled up and now you can present your idea of a pay for view and do any wanna go for it.. If you DO start to publish your images, especially of others, you HAVE to keep detailed records..
